Excelling in a relatively new field of contemporary pottery is just one of Puneet Brar’s triumphs as a small business owner. Her pottery studio in Auroville showcases a vast collection of intricate work on mugs, dinnerware and decorative pieces. For Puneet, the journey hasn’t always been easy. As a young twenty year old with big hopes and dreams, there was a lot that she had to manoeuvre through. Even so, Puneet’s love for pottery has not faltered ever since she first tried her hand at it during her time at the National Institute of Design. This unwavering dedication and passion shines through in all her pieces and work. She believes that through Windglaze, her studio, she has not only been able to create a space that can provide for her people but also one in which everyone feels respected and their opinions validated. Taking a male-dominated space and making it her own and following her passion even if it meant she would have to work within uncharted territory, catapulted her into a level of success and achievement only a few are fortunate to see. Windglaze Studio now boasts an array of fantastic pieces carefully crafted by the genius of Puneet Brar. And she did it all with a brave front and a hunger to do what she loves.
