Established in 1996, Auroville Papers is committed to producing ecologically-sound pieces that cherish and respect the environment and its resources. Their handmade paper and art pieces are made out of cotton rags, vegetable fibre and recycled paper, a quality that gives their pieces a rare, earthly finish. Co-founder Luisa believes that through Auroville Papers they have built a space to create and explore by hosting various paper making workshops. Their sense of community runs strong and their sense of womanhood stronger, with about 70 percent of the staff being women.

Our workers are strongwomen who are ambitious and want to become something.” Luisa says enthusiastically. They progressively aim to create a line that is 100 percent eco-friendly.
