Priya Menon is the founder of Sankalp Creative Ventures, an organization that champions Kerala handlooms while empowering women entrepreneurs, traditional artisans, and handcrafters. Through exhibitions and an online store, Sankalp has empowered over 1,000 women, enabling them to succeed in their entrepreneurial endeavors. In response to the pandemic, Sankalp began collaborating with handloom weavers to produce contemporary designs for handloom garments under the brand "Weaves by Sankalp." Priya's ethos, which involves treating everyone with respect and authenticity, has been a crucial factor in her success. As a woman in business, she recognizes the role of financial empowerment in empowering women.
