Txuma Prat is a multidisciplinary artist and maker based in Auroville, deeply engaged with the community’s experimental and collaborative creative ecosystem. His practice sits at the intersection of art, craft, music, and material exploration, shaped by Auroville’s ethos of sustainability, improvisation, and conscious living.

He is part of Auroville’s arts and music circles, having collaborated within its live and improvisational music scene, where collective creation and cross-cultural exchange form the core of artistic expression.

Currently, Txuma focuses on hand-crafting lamps and light objects, working primarily with driftwood and found wooden materials, each piece shaped by the organic history of the material itself. These sculptural forms are paired with Japanese paper art, creating lighting works that balance raw natural textures with delicate translucence.

His lamps are entirely handcrafted, often one-of-a-kind, reflecting:
• A sensitivity to natural forms and imperfection
• An ethos of reuse and material consciousness
• A quiet dialogue between light, shadow, and space

Txuma’s work resonates with environments that value slow craft, mindful design, and storytelling through objects, making his practice especially relevant to curated spaces, intimate exhibitions, and design-led hospitality or cultural contexts.
