Supriya Menon Meneghetti

Supriya Menon Meneghetti

Supriya Meneghetti knows what it means to capture the essence of the feminine, as she strongly believes that feminity is not gender based and is found in all. Her work is strong, subdued and blatant all at the same time. This synergy is what makes her pieces feel incredibly grounded to her and her story. Trained under legends like Deborah Smith, Ray Meeker and Sandy Brown, Supriya is a natural with ceramics. When making her piece, she savours every minute of the process, almost losing herself to it. As a result her pieces are exquisitely focussed on the feminine, time and life, all intermingled to be something universal yet truly personal and hers. With pieces like “Red Days” that depict a feminine calendar, she has figured out the harmony between body, nature and mind, a feat only a fortunate few can master. To top it all, her work undeniably tells us that she is a storyteller and she narrates it best with the pieces she creates.
